Do fleas lay eggs in the carpet?
The short answer is no, they do not go on the ground or carpet to lay eggs. Fleas lay eggs on their host, our pets, but the eggs are not very sticky so they fall off and land on the carpet or ground. These eggs don’t require any care from their parents so they will hatch, in 1 to 10 days, and emerge in the world as tiny larva, lasting 5 to 11 days before making a cocoon. When they are done developing, this will take between 5 to 9 days, they will locate their host, your pet, and start all over again.

Using bombs to get rid of fleas can be ineffective towards the fleas and harmful for your pets so avoid using harsh chemical such as flea bombs to keep you and your pets safe.
