You can even create your own cleaning supplies with natural ingredients. You’ll find a ridiculous number of DIY projects on Pinterest and YouTube where ways to be eco-friendly are explained in great detail.
Reusable and Sustainable
Product reusability is regaining popularity and covering more products. The reusable shopping bags are very popular but there are also reusable produce bags and sandwich bags. With fast food and coffee shops always giving straws, with some shops switching to paper, there are better reusable solutions. You can buy you own stainless reusable straws and carry one in your purse. Even better sponges and wash cloths made to last can be purchased. This items may seem to cost more, but they are sustainable and will last longer. In the long run you’ll be saving money and protecting the environment. It’s a win win!
“Cleaner” Cleaning
There are many chemicals that are not safe for the environment or your skin. Finding greener cleaners for your home can keep you healthy as well and there are some brands that like to focus on that. Some brands of laundry detergent keep their product natural and dye free for your clothes. Many of the shampoo bars use more natural cleaning agents that are less harmful to you and the environment.
